Itineraries
Day 1
Meals: Dinner
After Reaching Shimla, we will leave for Kalpa. Upon arrival at Kalpa, check-in to the homestay and gear up to explore Suicide Point and Kalpa monastery, overnight stay at Kalpa with dinner.
About Kalpa
Kalpa is a small village in the Sutlej river valley, above Reckong Peo in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Northern India, in the Indian Himalaya. Inhabited by Kinnauri people and known for its apple orchards. Apples are a major cash-crop for the region.
Day 2
Meals:-Breakfast & Dinner
After having a delicious breakfast, we will leave for Tabo. En route we will visit frozen Nako lake and have steaming hot lunch at Nako village and we will continue our journey towards Tabo, we continue driving on the famous Hindustan – Tibet Highway or the NH 22 – This stretch famously known as one of “most treacherous roads of the world” by the lonely planet in a visual spectacle.

Day3
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Have an early breakfast and head to Dhankar this day. we will leave for Kaza. En route Kaza, we will visit Dhankar Monastery, Pin Valley, Mudh and Gue Monastery, Enroute visit the Tabo Monastery which is close to 1000 years old now. The murals, thanks and paintings are believed to have been made in a single night by the Gods themselves. You can also hike to the meditation caves, if time permits.
Gue Mummy – This mummy was found during an army excavation and was placed in a tomb in the year 1975. According to carbon dating, the mummy is belived to be around 500 to 600 years old.
Dhankar Monastery- Seat of the King in ancient times- the most beautiful setting of a monument which hangs on a cliff and overlooks the confluence of Spiti and Pin River. Hike to Dhankar Lake, if your lungs permit. After that transfer to Kaza. Visit Kaza bazaar and Monastery.
Day 4
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
After breakfast, you will visit Komik Village (The World’s Highest Village ), Hikkim (The World’s Highest Post Office), and Langza village - the main area for Fossils
About Kaza Valley
Kaza, also spelled Kaze, Karze, Karzey, is a town and the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti district of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
Hikkim- the highest post office in the world. Visit the postmaster of the highest post office in the world at Hikkim and mail some postcards from here.
Komic- one of the highest villages in the world at 4600 meters. A visit to the Tangyud monastery in Komic is also worthwhile. You can see some snow laden peaks during this drive.
Langza:- To make this memorable, you can also hike from Langza to Komic- 3-4 hours. Overnight stay in KAZA/Langza home stay.

Day 5
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
After having breakfast, we will leave for Tabo. After reaching Tabo we will visit Tabo Monastery, Caves and Tabo waterfall.
Tabo Monastery – This Monastery is close to 1000 years old now. The murals, thankas and paintings are believed to have been made in a single night by the Gods themselves. You can also hike to the meditation caves.
Day 7
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
After having an early breakfast, we will leave for Chitkul. Enroute we will visit Gue Monastery. Chitkul is the last inhabited village before the Indo-China border and here you can also visit the famous ‘Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba’ for an amazing meal, After visiting Chitkul , come back to Raksham, have a dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7
Meals: Breakfast
After breakfast, check out from the homestay and go towards Shimla, the cab will drop you at Shimla Volvo Station to catch your onwards Volvo.
Welcome drink on arrival in hotel.
